On Sunday afternoon the 21^st of May, 60 Israel Bonds clients were treated to an exclusive screening of 2022 Israeli movie “Paris Boutique” featuring comedienne and actress Nelly Tagar at JW3 cinema. Straight after the film, the audience of the sold-out event was treated to a Q&A session with Nelly herself.

This screening was hosted by Israel Bonds as part of the Seret Israeli International Film Festival, which is in its 12^th year – touring the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Argentina, and Chile. The film festival brings together Israel’s best movies, documentaries, shorts, and TV shows to audiences every year.

The engaging Q&A session was led by Israeli Actress and dancer, Eliana Bekier. Eliana who moved to London 5 years ago, noted that last time they worked together was on a short film that Nelly was the lead actress for and Eliana was directing. Nelly spoke very much from the heart when talking about the behind-the-scenes process of filming this and other Israeli movies – but of also the pride she takes in the Israeli film, language and culture being exported around the world.

This event was a first for Israel Bonds in the UK. We look forward to future events with the Seret festival and hope to bring even more Jewish and Israeli cultural events to you down the road.
