Arnon Perlman Visits Brazil
During a visit to Brazil in March, Israel Bonds International CEO Arnon Perlman travelled to São Paulo, Curitiba, and Rio de Janeiro to meet with supporters of Israel, share insights on the importance of supporting Israel during this critical time, and provide an overview of Israel’s economy during a time of war.
Perlman, who previously served as Israel’s Consul General in Shanghai and as Spokesperson and Head of the Media Division for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, addressed attendees at events throughout the country on the theme “Supporting Israel in Challenging Times.” The visit offered community members an opportunity to connect directly with Israel Bonds leadership, hear firsthand updates, and reaffirm their support for Israel during the ongoing challenges of war since October 7, 2023 and now through the war with Iran, Operation Roaring Lion.
The visit was hosted by Israel Bonds’ representative in Brazil, Eyla Benedykt, who organized several gatherings that brought together members of the local Jewish communities and friends of Israel.
These gatherings underscored the strong bond between communities across Brazil and Israel, communities that continue to stand with Israel and support it in the best of times and in the most difficult times.
Rafael Erdreich, Consul General of Israel, Hosts Israel Bonds Event
at The Official Residence in São Paulo
The first event took place in São Paulo with Israel Bonds Women’s Division Brazil at the official residence of the Consul General of Israel, Rafael Erdreich. Guests gathered for an intimate reception where Perlman reflected on the impact of diaspora communities in supporting Israel, the remarkable work of the Women’s Division lay leaders, and Israel’s economic strength as well as the challenges involved in ensuring the country’s stability and future growth.
During the event, Arnon highlighted his vision for Israel Bonds saying he hopes for a world where every child will receive an Israel bond as a gift at their brit, bar or bat mitzvah or graduation to be lifelong supporters of the State of Israel in a direct and meaningful way.
Beit Chabad Morumbi - São Paulo
The second event in São Paulo took place at Beit Chabad Morumbi, where Rabbi Dovi and his wife, Chani Goldberg, welcomed a group of business leaders who had the opportunity to hear from Arnon Perlman and gain a deeper understanding of the important work of Israel Bonds over the last 75 years, especially in times of war.
Meeting with Women’s Division São Paulo
At a relaxed gathering at Manioca Restaurant in São Paulo, Arnon Perlman had the opportunity to meet with members of the Women’s Division, chaired by Elisa Griner and Patrícia Fuchs. He spoke about the role and importance of the Women’s Division and expressed his gratitude to each volunteer for their unwavering dedication in supporting Israel. The afternoon was both joyful and uplifting as together we strengthened our bond as a team and to Israel.
Curitiba
In Curitiba, Israel Bonds partnered with the Jewish Community of Paraná for a cocktail reception and address where community members gathered to hear Arnon’s remarks and engage in discussion about meaningful ways to
support Israel.

Rio de Janeiro, Gávea Golf and Country Club
The final event took place in Rio de Janeiro with a cocktail reception at the prestigious Gávea Golf and Country Club. The event opened with the singing of Hatikva, Israel’s national anthem, accompanied by a pianist, a deeply emotional moment for all. Arnon Perlman followed with an address on Israel’s economic resilience, the challenges the country is facing, and the importance of international partnership and support during these difficult days, saying “The support for Israel in the diaspora is essential to Israel’s future.”
Meeting with Women’s Division Rio de Janeiro.
A simple gathering over coffee was enough to demonstrate how active and engaged the Women’s Division lay leadership in Rio de Janeiro. During the meeting, Arnon had the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for engagement and events that the Women’s Division could expand on and to implement locally and expressed his gratitude for everyone’s continued support of Israel. It was a warm and meaningful afternoon dedicated to appreciating our volunteers.
