Israel Bonds launches its International Round Tables cycle, a series of encounters open to our friends from all continents, each taking place in a different city.
The series was inaugurated in Paris, with a first event featuring Philippe Uzan, former Management Director at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
Philippe Uzan has garnered expertise in most of the roles of asset management, including as manager, research director and asset allocation specialist. Until very recently at Edmond de Rothschild AM, Mr. Uzan was supervising a portfolio of assets worth over $30 billion, and was in charge of defining strategy and reporting to the financial surveillance council. Philippe Uzan was one of the most brilliant ambassadors of the firm in his interactions with clients and the media.
This first round table was fueled by intense and up-front discussions among participants. Philippe Uzan pointed out that 2019 would be a year of economic normalization, although there are still sources of political instability. “The FED will continue to play a crucial role and all attentions are focused on the rate curve”, commented Mr. Uzan.

Israel Bonds inaugure le cycle de ses Tables Rondes Internationales, une série de rendez-vous ouverts à tous nos amis sur les différents continents et se déroulant à chaque fois dans une ville différente.
C’est dans notre bureau parisien que s’est tenue cette première session autour de Philippe Uzan, ancien Directeur des Gestions chez Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
Philippe Uzan a connu la plupart des métiers de la gestion d’actifs en tant que gérant, responsable de recherche et à l’allocation d’actif. Chez Edmond de Rothschild AM, M. Uzan supervisait jusqu’à très récemment plus de 30 milliards de dollars d’actifs, s’occupant aussi bien de définir la stratégie que du reporting auprès du conseil de surveillance. Philippe Uzan était un des plus brillants ambassadeurs d’EDR auprès des clients et des médias.
Les participants à cette première table ronde ont nourri des discussions franches et intenses .
Philippe Uzan a souligné que l’année 2019 serait une année de normalisation sur le plan économique mais qu’il y avait des sources d’instabilité politique. « La FED continuera à jouer un rôle important et la courbe des taux est au centre des attentions », a commenté M. Uzan.
