Israel Bonds New Leadership hosted an inspiring event at Chabad in Berlin, bringing together around 40 participants for an exciting and emotional evening of insight and connection. Held on 18 September 2025, the event highlighted Israel’s economic strength and the personal stories shaping today’s conversations about Israel.

The program opened with warm welcomes from Sebastian Hoffmann, Chair of Israel Bonds New Leadership Division in Germany, and Michael Grauss, Managing Director for Israel Bonds Europe. They provided an overview and explained the important work of Israel Bonds and introduced how the New Leadership program fosters involvement among emerging leaders interested in strengthening their engagement with Israel.

Our keynote speaker, Yaniv Tessel, Head of the Economic and Trade Mission at the Israeli Embassy, delivered an extremely informative briefing on Israel’s current economic landscape. He explained how Israel continues to grow and thrive despite two years of war. His overview underscored the impressive strength and adaptability of Israel’s resilient economy. A thoughtful Q&A followed, allowing attendees to explore the topic further.

The evening also featured a very emotional moment. Ofir Amir, co-founder of the Nova Festival and eyewitness to the October 7 Hamas massacre, shared his personal testimony of the horrific events of that day. Alongside his powerful account, he offered a message of hope and announced the upcoming Nova Festival Exhibition in Berlin, opening on 7 October 2025 at Tempelhof Airport.
