FestRio Judaico turns Ipanema into a stage of
culture and solidarity
On Sunday, October 5, Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz a lively public square in the heart of Ipanema. came alive with the 8th edition of the FestRio Judaico, organized by the Jewish Federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIERJ). The event brought together around 18,000 people in a vibrant celebration of culture, unity, and solidarity.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed music, dance, traditional Jewish cuisine, and a variety of cultural activities. They also had the opportunity to learn about the work of Jewish schools, youth movements, and community organizations. The festival also featured workshops and lectures on combating antisemitism, reaffirming the community’s ongoing commitment to respect, dialogue, and education.
