An Evening of Solidarity and Support at the Omer Tiroche Gallery
In January, Israel Bonds in the UK hosted an extraordinary event, at the Omer Tiroche Gallery in Mayfair bringing together nearly 100 guests for an evening of purpose and community. The event was dedicated to supporting Kamim, a charity that provides vital aid and assistance to victims of 7th of October terror and their families.
The evening featured powerful speeches that left a lasting impression on all in attendance. Noam Sagi, whose mother Ada was taken on October 7th and released in November 2023 opened the speeches. Idit Ohel, a mother whose son Alon has been kidnapped by Hamas and is still held in Gaza, delivered a deeply moving and personal account of her ongoing struggle and how she uses art to help her cope. Her other son, Ronen then sang to the crowd a song to represent his brother’s love for music. Her words shed light on the unimaginable challenges faced by families affected by such tragedies, underscoring the importance of collective action and support.
The CEO of Kamim Shai Shoham, shared insights into the charity's critical work in providing emotional, financial, and practical assistance to those impacted by terror. Guests learned how their contributions by buying art created by Israeli artists could make a tangible difference in the lives of these individuals and families.
As hosts of the evening, Israel Bonds emphasized another way to show solidarity with the State of Israel—by purchasing Israel Bonds. Through this initiative, attendees were encouraged to invest in Israel’s resilience and economic strength while supporting its people during challenging times.
The event highlighted the importance of unity and action in the face of adversity. Whether through donations to Kamim or the purchase of Israel Bonds, attendees left inspired to stand in solidarity with Israel and its citizens.
