Rawan Osman - What I Saw When I Looked Again.

At a recent event hosted by our London Women’s Division, Syrian-born activist Rawan Osman took the stage and left a lasting impression. In a talk titled “What I Saw When I Looked Again,” Osman shared her deeply personal journey from growing up with antisemitic indoctrination in Syria and Lebanon to a transformative awakening after meeting Jewish individuals in Europe.

With remarkable honesty and vulnerability, her heartfelt testimony highlighted the power of education, dialogue, and direct human connection in dismantling hate and fostering understanding. Her story underscored how education, empathy, and face-to-face dialogue can bridge even the deepest divides.

The evening concluded with a gripping Q&A session where guests asked poignant questions about identity, reconciliation, and activism in polarized times. Attendees expressed being deeply impressed by her courage and insight, calling the event unforgettable and profoundly hopeful.
