Israel Bonds participates in solemn, historic commemoration in Poland acknowledged the world over - the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Thousands attend, millions remember

On 27th January, senior staff of Israel Bonds from across Europe took part in one of the most poignant ceremonies on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, solemnly marking 75 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz-Berkenau Concentration Camps.

Some two hundred Survivors of the Holocaust, executed in such horrific numbers at Auschwitz- Birkenau, were in attendance to stand and speak as witnesses.

In opening remarks, Polish President Mr.Duda, reiterated the obligation to “guard the truth about what happened here.”

Ambassador Ronald S. Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and Chairman of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Foundation Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Foundation, urged world leaders and lawmakers to take decisive action against a new tide of Anti-Semitism rising across Europe and around the world.
