Women’s Division International Holds Events and Meetings in the U.K. and Germany

Sisterhood, mentoring and women empowerment were only a few strong words that were mentioned during a panel discussion event held by Israel Bonds Women’s Division International in London on 22 January.

“Sisterhood, mentoring and women empowerment” were only a few strong words that were mentioned during the panel discussion event held by Israel Bonds Women’s Division International in London last Wednesday.

Israel Bonds Women Division started the year by hosting a panel discussion event at the offices of Bank Leumi PLC in London on 22nd of January.

Panellists included Lade Ruth Morris of Kenwood (CBE), Justine Zwerling, Head of Israel Primary Markets at the London Stock Exchange Group and Rebecca Simon, Director of Marketing at the British Business Bank. The panel was moderated by Sandy Rashty, former JC business editor and current Sky News Journalist.

The panellists discussed relevant issues such as evolvement of workplace for women, how women are treated in an all-male environment, sacrifices women must make in order to balance family and career,  and more.  Justine Zwerling commented, “Building strong networks is essential. Our networks offer ladies & men places to turn to for support and inspiration; together we are able to celebrate each other’s triumphs and, crucially, provide encouragement when the going gets tough.”

In the discussion, Lady Ruth recounted how she battled her way to being the first female senior partner in her law firm in the 1960’s – one of nine partners in the firm at the time - and recanted of how she had to mentor men, because there were simply no women in the firm.

Odelia Zucker, the event Chair and a member of the Women’s Division International Advisory Council, noted, “Israel Bonds is in line with my ethics and I’m doing all in my power to be a true ambassador, proud investor and purchaser. Israel Bonds offer the ultimate package -investment with a purpose and a return on your investment. I am also very excited to be on the first Women’s Division International delegation to Israel”.

Orit Usharovsky of Israel Bonds added, “Israel wants to know who their supporters are, and we are here today to create that bond between you both”.
