Standing with Israel through Women's Division

Israel Bonds Womens’ Division Germany
As a retired grammar school teacher and proud member of the Women’s Division in Germany, I am honored to support the important task of Israel Bonds: to strengthen the State of Israel.
For many years, I have been engaged in the German-Israeli Association, and serve as a strong voice of assistance for Israel here in Germany. For that reason, I joined the Israel Bonds Women’s Division some years ago.
I am charmed by Israel— this small but scenic cultural and multifaceted country that oscillates between tradition and modernity. My fascination is renewed
at every visit.
Of the many times I have visited this wonderful country, the delegation trip with Israel Bonds was my most outstanding experience, and I feel fortunate to
have participated.
The Israel Bonds International Women’s Division Delegation to Israel was attended by a group of women from Great Britain, France, Germany and Mexico. We spent great days with unique experiences in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the Negev and made fabulous friends with each other!
What was particularly exciting about this trip was the diversity of the impressive Israeli women we met.
What was particularly exciting about this trip was the diversity of the impressive Israeli women we met, all of whom came from very different professional areas and provided memorable encounters with us. At the beginning of our visit, we had a remarkable meeting with Yael Huldai, the wife of Ron Huldai, the mayor of Tel Aviv. Her report about her numerous social activities for disadvantaged women was inspiring!
We then went to the Peres Center and had a lively roundtable discussion with various female entrepreneurs, including some who were ultra-Orthodox, about their professional challenges. Afterwards, we met Dana Weiss, a political reporter for TV, in a gallery in Jaffa, and that evening in the Goshen restaurant, we met Titi Aynaw, Israel’s first Ethiopian beauty queen. All unique encounters!
Jerusalem Day was marked by an excellent tour of the City of David, a stay at the Western Wall, a visit to the Aish HaTorah World Center and a culinary visit to Tali Fridmann, a Jerusalem star chef, who is also chairwoman of the entire Mahane Yehuda Market! Jossi, Tali's brother, an excellent expert on market events, showed us this wonderful market, complete with dessert and coffee stops, and there were plenty of delicious samples!
We were then able to experience a fantastic sunset at the Samson and Delilah Winery outside Jerusalem, followed by a wine tasting. A desert trip with several Jeeps followed by a desert bonding party, live music, and a Bedouin buffet under a star-filled sky concluded this unforgettable day.
The Israeli society we experienced was diverse, strong, and vibrant, and it was gratifying to know that it remains so through the help of Israel Bonds, whose contributions have decisively strengthened the state of Israel!
A big thank-you to Israel Bonds, who planned, organized, and carried out this wonderful tour with enormous care, knowledge, and commitment! Toda raba!
