On July 9th, 2021, Rebbetzin Bila Apel of the Jewish Community of Frankfurt am Main invited all girls
who were unable to celebrate their bat mitzvah due to the corona pandemic to a special celebration
in the ballroom of the Frankfurt Jewish Community. The currently applicable Corona virus rules were followed,
and all participants were tested beforehand.

In a room festively decorated and adorned with balloons, photos of the children and their parents were taken to commemorate this beautiful evening, and after all twenty-five girls performed a dance that they had rehearsed at the Bat Mitzvah Club, Rebbetzin Apel called each girl individually to present her with a prayer book (siddur), a certificate, candlesticks with the blessing for Shabbat, and a Mazel Tov Israel Bond as a personal gift.

This memorable evening concluded with a blessing of the b’nei mitzvah by Rabbi Apel, a Kabbalat Shabbat service, and a festive Oneg Shabbat.
