My relationship with Israel Bonds began a couple of years ago. Ever since then I have noticed how active and visible they have become. I feel fortunate to be part of the Israel Bonds family as a Layleader of Israel Bonds Germany and support them in their important mission.

As a passionate tennis player at Makkabi Frankfurt, I am very happy about the cooperation between Israel Bonds and Makkabi Germany. The two organizations share the same values and love for Israel. The sponsorship of Makkabi Germany at the European Makkabi Games in Budapest last year elevated the relationship to a new level.

Unfortunately, due to the Corona pandemic, the German Makkabi Games that should have taken place this June in Düsseldorf with the sponsorship of Israel Bonds Germany had to be rescheduled to 2021. I’m sure that this will not diminish the partnership and that in the coming year Israel Bonds and Makkabi will celebrate together during an amazing weekend of bonding, sports, and friendship.

The last months have affected us all, some harder than others. It makes me proud that in this difficult time Israel Bonds Germany has decided to help a vulnerable population group, the elderly, by sponsoring the project of the Central Jewish Welfare Organization to provide tablets in Jewish nursing homes all over Germany. With these tablets, the elderly can stay in touch with their families who are not allowed to visit them in the nursing homes. In a time in which it´s important to stand together and help each other, Israel Bonds Germany is exemplary and a reliable partner for the Jewish communities.

I could name many more occasions in which Israel Bonds Germany is involved and active: the Mazel Tov Program at the Jewish community in Frankfurt, the establishment of a Women´s Division, the Round Table events all over Germany, and other online events to keep the bond between friends, supporters and investments strong during the time of the Coronavirus. It´s impressive to see the work done by Michael Grauss and his team and it´s a great privilege to be part of the Layleader team of Israel Bonds Germany.
