L’Dor Va Dor

Our family's relationship with Israel Bonds goes back a long way.
My parents, Mauricio and Arlette Zylberberg, attended many events and trips organized by Israel Bonds with groups of Brazilians, mainly from Rio and São Paulo.
Among these trips, one of the the most memorable was a dinner at the residence of Donald Trump and Melania with Israel’s Prime Minister, Shimon Peres, and the daughter of Gamal Abdel Nasser (former President of Egypt), during which my mother had the opportunity to meet and converse with them all. In fact, my parents had the pleasure of dining with Prime Minister Shimon Peres again with Israel Bonds at the Ritz Carlton in Palm Beach, Florida.
Israel Bonds delegations to Israel provide very special memories. The delegations offer exclusive access to people who play important roles in Israel and unique opportunities to see and tour Israel. On these delegations we have gotten to know other participants from Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, and other Latin American countries
The Israel Bonds baton has been passed on from my parents.
Another very interesting Bonds trip was to Uruguay. Our whole family, including my children, went to Punta del Este. There were dinners at the Conrad Hotel and a Shabbat at the home of Mr. Marcos Arbaitman, a well-known and very successful businessman and entrepreneur in Brazil, who is very involved in many Jewish community organizations. There we enjoyed interesting lectures and of course a great time socializing.
About twenty years ago, together with my brother André, I held an Israel Bonds event in my home for young couples to introduce them to Israel Bonds.
The Israel Bonds baton has been passed on from my parents to my brother and me. We will pass it on to our children— L’dor Va Dor.
