In today's world, fostering creativity and innovation among young people has become essential to building a promising future. Accordingly, the Rocket Challenge competition, promoted by its official sponsor, Israel Bonds, has made a significant impact by providing a platform for students to develop their ideas and turn them into real projects. Through several exciting phases, the competition has inspired participants to explore the desirability, feasibility, and viability of their ideas, culminating in a grand finale in which the most outstanding teams were recognized. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Israel Bonds for their invaluable support in carrying out this initiative and for their commitment to fostering innovation among young people.
Youngsters have an innate desire to explore new ideas and take on exciting challenges
Invitation to participate:
The Rocket Challenge competition attracted an impressive number of talented young people, with a total of 226 enrolled youngsters from nine different Jewish schools. The announcement sparked enthusiasm amongst the students and an interest in actively participating in the competition. This enthusiastic response proved that youngsters have an innate desire to explore new ideas and take on exciting challenges.
At each stage of the competition, the young students were guided by experts from Anáhuac University, who provided training at each stage to help the teams refine their projects.
Desirability: In the first phase of the competition, the participants had the opportunity to develop and present their innovative ideas. The teams submitted a total of seventy projects, each with a unique and ambitious vision. During this phase, the students were able to perfect their skills in identifying problems and in developing creative solutions. The competition provided an environment conducive to the development of ideas, inspiring young people to dream big and think beyond conventional boundaries.
Feasibility:
After a rigorous evaluation of the projects, the most promising teams were selected to advance to the next phase. At this stage, the participants worked hard to determine the feasibility of their ideas. In the process, the youths learned to develop sound strategies and face challenges with determination.
Viability: Here, the projects became tangible. The finalist teams received additional training at the WYI (Work Your Ideas) Center, where they had the opportunity to participate in three personalized sessions to improve the viability of their projects. The students benefited greatly from this experience, as they were able to apply practical knowledge and receive feedback from experts in the field. The feasibility phase allowed them to turn their ideas into concrete solutions and demonstrate their potential for real impact.

Helping Jewish Brides Fulfill their Dream
By Yad Lakala Volunteers
Yad Lakala is a nonprofit organization that has provided brides within the Jewish community with the necessary means to experience their wedding in a dignified and honest manner. For over thirty-six years, the organization has helped brides embark on this new stage in their lives.
A woman’s upcoming marriage can evoke many mixed feelings. On the one hand, the family is happy to witness this joyful new life phase for the bride and her new spouse, but on the other, the family can become overwhelmed with the mounting expenses that this new road implies: bills for the bride’s gown and trousseau, home appliances, the costs for the wedding celebration itself… the list goes on and on.
Yad Lakala has managed to ease the burden successfully and seamlessly for the parents by providing them with financial aid, thus helping the bride to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime joyful occasion.
Yad Lakala has over 100 volunteers involved in more than twenty-five sub-committees, working as a team to supply the bride with not only her wedding dress, but also the emotional support and inner peace that she and her
family need.
The assistance provided to brides consists of everything imaginable, from the wedding gown itself, to a full trousseau of clothes, appliances, linen and all the equipment necessary for their new home.
Yad Lakala has managed to ease the burden successfully and seamlessly.
Yad Lakala also offers classes to the brides so that they can acquire the necessary tools to begin their new life with their partners strongly and successfully. Currently, the organization has fifteen apartments that they rent at a modest price so that the new couple can save for the future, thus giving them a head start.
None of this would have been possible without the tireless work of our volunteers and the financial aid of countless donors, who participate in fundraising events and activities. Together, they invest in the dream of helping new families grow.
Another type of assistance provided for these brides is the gift of an Israel Bond, which, thanks to an anonymous sponsor, is given to each bride who approaches the organization with her wedding plans. This significant gift-giving began over a year ago, and since then, approximately 130 brides have received an Israel Bond. This gesture has been gratefully received by the young couples, since it has allowed them to begin a savings fund while connecting them with the State of Israel.
