A Heartfelt Yom Ha’atzmaut gathering in Mexico
On Wednesday May 15th, Israel Bonds Women’s Division in Mexico came together to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s 76th Independence Day! The lively event was filled with a variety of meaningful activities and bonding.
One highlight was our dear friend David Bar-On, joining us by video chat with to shed light on the various aspects of current situation and its implications in the short and long term. David’s insights were informative and moving, as it connected us all more deeply with the ongoing challenges Israel is facing.
In a heartfelt show of solidarity, each member participated in a bracelet-making activity. These bracelets, crafted with care and love, will be sent to Israel and distributed as symbols of support and unity.
The celebration was topped off by a delightful spread, including a beautifully decorated cake and a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere was warm and joyful as friends reunited after a long break, sharing stories and laughter, making it a truly memorable occasion.
Despite the sombre times, celebrating Israel’s independence is essential, and serves as a reminder of the enduring spirit and resilience of Israel and the Jewish people.
