My Worst Nightmare Became a Reality.
An Iranian missile struck my home with my children inside.
Israel Bonds Global President & CEO Dani Naveh lived every parent’s worst fear.
On the morning of Thursday, 19 June, at 7:18 AM, sirens echoed across Israel. For Dani Naveh, Global President & CEO of Israel Bonds, this was no routine alarm — it was the moment every parent dreads.
While on FaceTime with his three children, an Iranian missile struck their home.
“As always, when the warning sirens sound, my three children go into the shelter while my wife Tzili and I Facetime with them, but this time was different. Two minutes after they reached the shelter, we heard a loud explosion. When my children left the bomb shelter, they found part of the house destroyed and engulfed in flames.
Thank God, they were safe. They made it to the shelter in time to save their lives.
The damage is severe, but our spirits are strong and resilient.
Israel is at war for its right to exist – and we will prevail."
- Dani Naveh, President & CEO, Israel Bonds
This wasn’t just a personal crisis, it was a vivid reminder of what so many Israeli families face daily, even when loved ones are far from home. For Dani, the missile didn’t only strike his home. It struck at the heart of what we all hold dear: the safety of our children, the security of home, and the simple truth that Israel deserves to live in peace.
And yet, even in the face of destruction, something powerful endures: resolve.
What Dani’s family endured is more than survival, it’s a powerful reminder of the resilience and spirit that define the people of Israel. Though rockets may destroy walls and homes may be reduced to rubble, hope endures. This is the reality that our colleagues, families, and communities in Israel face every day. Yet, despite it all, Dani’s strength remains unwavering, reflecting the courage of a nation “We are shaken, but we are not broken.”
Am Yisrael Chai.
