Alex Pollak
Managing Director, Head of Clients within BlackRock’s UK OCIO business
In this role he is responsible for developing and maintaining the relationships with UK Defined Benefit clients within the fiduciary business. Alex’s service with the firm dates back to 2006, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to assuming his current role in December 2019, he was the Israeli Country Head for 11 years initiating and overseeing BlackRock’s business in the region. This included the establishment of a local office and team leading BlackRock to become the largest global asset manager in the country.
He previously served in the Capital Markets Team before initiating coverage of the Israeli Market.
Prior to joining BGI, he was a Portfolio Manager at a London based hedge fund, Marble Bar Asset Management.
Alex earned a degree in International Business from the University of Georgia (USA) in 2000.
